Stoemp with green cabbage

Preparation time: 30 minutes - cooking time: 30 minutes - serves 6
Ingredients: 500 g. potatoes, 1 small green cabbage, 2 onions, 3 shallots, nutmeg, crushed red peppers, 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, pepper, salt, grated Parmesan.
Peel the potatoes and cook them in a very small amount of water with the onions and the shallots. Quarter the green cabbage and cook in salted boiling water. Drain both preparations and mash together into a puree. Add the crushed garlic, the red pepper, a shake of nutmeg, 2 pinches of grated Parmesan and a big lump of butter. The stoemp goes with fresh sausages served on a slice of toast spread with mustard.
